Jacobs Restaurant

The lime-tree terrace on the Elbe

Thomas Martin’s two-star restaurant in the Louis C. Jacob hotel is Hamburg’s most beautiful place to eat: a lime-tree terrace above the Elbe that Max Liebermann painted in 1902, and a classic dining room behind it. The cooking is French, seasonal and deeply refined, and the container ships sliding past the terrace are the only distraction.
