Joe’s Stone Crab has served Florida stone crab claws, cracked, chilled and with mustard sauce, since 1913 in a South Beach room of white jackets and mahogany: hash browns, coleslaw, key lime pie and a season from mid-October to early May that the whole city marks. No reservations for dinner, a wait of hours and a place in American food history.
