La Marmite on Corviglia, reached by funicular, has served caviar, truffle pasta and Engadin specialities to skiers since the 1960s: the highest gourmet restaurant in the Alps, a sun terrace with the whole valley below and a Mathis family tradition of treating lunch on the mountain as an event. The truffle pizza and the Grand Marnier soufflé are institutions.
