Anton Gschwendtner cooks in a room designed by Axel Vervoordt inside the Hotel Bayerischer Hof: earthy, calm, almost monastic, with a menu that moves between Bavaria and Asia with astonishing lightness. The tasting menu holds two stars, the service is among the best in Germany and the hotel bar afterwards is the natural next chapter.
