Sansibar

The myth in the dunes

Herbert Seckler’s Sansibar started as a beach kiosk in the Rantum dunes and became the most famous restaurant in Germany: a wooden hut where champagne, oysters, currywurst and Wiener Schnitzel share the tables, the wine list runs to thousands of positions and the crowd mixes surfers, billionaires and families in wellies. The terrace on the beach at sunset is a Sylt rite.
