Söl’ring Hof
Two stars in the dunes
Jan-Philipp Berner cooks a two-star menu in a thatched house in the Rantum dunes, with the North Sea a few metres beyond the terrace. The kitchen is built on the island: oysters, lamb from the salt marshes, plaice, herbs from the dunes, with a French precision that made the Söl’ring Hof the most celebrated table in northern Germany. Fifteen rooms upstairs make dinner an overnight affair.
